Our trip to Galway and stay at The Herons Rest Boutique was magnificent. The accommodation was perfect for location to town center, shops, restaurants and nightlife. We walked everywhere. The views from the Herons Rest were particularly scenic. The accommodation had everything- scrumptious local breakfast goods for our entire stay, a washer/dryer that came in handy, heated bathrooms, lovely toiletries and cozy bedding. This is a must stay! There is plenty of room for the whole family or a group of friends. It’s right near the heart of Galway, but quiet! A very iconic home! Clean rooms, plenty of towels, and Comfortable beds! The food brought was delicious and we had plenty of it. The host had great communication the whole time. She provided a lot of recommendations for the area and has Ireland books inside if you want to explore more. Her directions to the townhouse, parking garage, and recommendations were very clear and easy to read. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Read Less

A must if you are staying in Galway with three or more people. Right along the Long Walk, Heron’s Rest is a dream. Incredible views. Delicious breakfast food. Wonderful recommendations from the host. We loved the proximity to the Latin Quarter and the Salthill promenade. Every room has a view. Unit 16a has three full baths, perfect for a group. We ran out of coffee beans (you can use an espresso maker or French press for morning coffee) and the host was great about replenishing them. Definitely recommending this B&B to friends & family. If we’re fortunate to return to Galway, we will definitely return to Heron’s Rest. *as other reviews mention, there are a lot of stairs. Totally manageable for folks without mobile challenges. The Heron’s Rest checks all the boxes - easy walk to the city center with tons of pubs, restaurants and stores, located on a quiet street with beautiful views of the harbor, nature trails also easily accessible, clean and comfortable, everything you could ask for. We had a fabulous experience staying here and would definitely stay here again, if we return to Galway City. Highly recommend. Read Less
