Wow! From start to finish, our time at Heron’s Rest was outstanding. Our hosts were super responsive any time we had a question. They left us very thoughtfully curated local provisions which were a very tasty and welcome surprise. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean and spacious. The location was outstanding for walking and quick accessibility to shops and restaurants. Parking was safe and just a short walk from the Heron’s Rest. 10/10- I can’t wait to return. It was magical. Lovely townhome with modern amenities (appliances, and always appreciate fans in each room, etc). Amazing communication, and the breakfast supplies were exactly what we needed. Location is unbeatable — not hyperbole. Close to everything, walkable to the train, bus, west side, salt hill, etc. Fairly priced, as well. Don’t hesitate to book this spot! Fair warning - 16a is a four story home (which they warn you about), and we loved the privacy that afforded, but it’s a lot of stairs for those with mobility issues. Read Less

Our trip to Galway and stay at The Herons Rest Boutique was magnificent. The accommodation was perfect for location to town center, shops, restaurants and nightlife. We walked everywhere. The views from the Herons Rest were particularly scenic. The accommodation had everything- scrumptious local breakfast goods for our entire stay, a washer/dryer that came in handy, heated bathrooms, lovely toiletries and cozy bedding. This is a must stay! There is plenty of room for the whole family or a group of friends. It’s right near the heart of Galway, but quiet! A very iconic home! Clean rooms, plenty of towels, and Comfortable beds! The food brought was delicious and we had plenty of it. The host had great communication the whole time. She provided a lot of recommendations for the area and has Ireland books inside if you want to explore more. Her directions to the townhouse, parking garage, and recommendations were very clear and easy to read. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Read Less
